What are disposal bin rentals?

Our services offer drop off and pick up disposal bins at your stated location.

Can I leave the bin on the street?

If you wish to leave you bin on the street you must obtain a road occupancy permit, which you can apply for at your local city office.

How many different sizes of disposal bins do you have available?

We currently have 15 cubic yard bins for rent. Also we charge by the weight of the load, not the bin size.

What size garbage or waste bin should I order?

Depending on the items you are disposing of, for instance if you are doing a home renovation or cleaning out storage, we advise ordering at least a 15-yard bin. Also for landscaping and removal of topsoil, dirt, concrete, etc. we would suggest the 15-yard bin.

How can I see the bins to get a better idea of their actual size?

We have photos of our actual garbage bins on our site, complete with their dimensions.

What if I am still not sure about which size disposal bin to order?

Give Ottawa Dumpster a call at (613) 317-1661. Tell us the type of garbage you have, how much there is and we will be happy to help you select a size. Also you should keep in mind that disposal bins cannot be overloaded for safety reasons. This will result in fines for both you and our company.

Are there any items I cannot dispose of?

We cannot dispose of cylinders, aerosol cans, tires, paint or any other type of hazardous waste.

What is considered clean fill?

Clean fill consists of material such as concrete, interlock, brick and block, dirt, grass, asphalt, or any combination of these. A clean fill bin cannot contain any other sort of material, or surcharges will apply.

How much garbage can I get into your bins?

We carry a wide variety of sizes. If you are unsure about the size of bin you need, then you need to contact us with all the facts about the garbage you wish to remove. After that we will be able to help you decide. Remember that bins cannot be overloaded, as it is considered unsafe and will result in fines for both you and our company.

Will my driveway or property be damaged by the disposal bin?

We are careful to place the disposal bins properly, by putting wood underneath the bin before it is dropped. This technique guarantees that your driveway or property is protected.

Are there any added fees to recycle my garbage?

We do not charge any additional fees to sort or recycle your garbage.

How do I pay for the service?

Currently we accept cash and all major credit cards. If you wish to pay by credit card, we must pre-authorize it when the order is placed, we will only process it when the job is complete.

How much advance notice should I provide?

You should provide at least a two days’ notice. If you need weekends or holidays, a few days in advance is recommended.

How long may I keep the waste disposal bin for?

Due to the large volume of customer requests, we limit all of our container rentals to a 7-day period. If you wish to have the container for more than 7 days, please contact us for details.

Do you deliver bins early in the morning or late at night?

Yes, we will deliver your rental bin at any time all you need to do is just state the time when you put in your order and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

Do I need to be at my residence or business when you drop off the disposal bin?

Yes, we need to have an on-site contact for delivering and picking up the containers. Payment is due upon delivery of the container.
